Melishia,

look to apply to any women/female scholarships which you feel you have the qualifications to win. I would also sit down with the FinAids manager of Trenholm to discuss your personal situation to see what they may have which you can apply to. Look into FSEOG - http://www2.ed.gov/programs/fseog/index.htm l and http://patsyminkfoundation.org/edsupport.html and <a href="http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/home.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">government grants</a>.

Hi I am a 27 year old single mother which is trying to go back to school and unemployed. I have one 3 year old daughter. I am looking to go to Trenholm State for Diagnostic Medical Solography which is close to my hometown. I know I will not be able to get Financial Aid because of personal reason 8 years ago when I was in school. However, I am having a hard time seeing what grant to apply for to help me go back to school and still raise my daughter with not having a job as of now.

I am 51, currently employed full time as an LVN. I have 3 children, 1 recently graduated from college, 1 in college, and a sophomore in high school. I want to engage in a bridge program from LVN to RN, but I cannot afford it with a child in college and one right behind her. I have a strong feeling that now is the time to do this. I want to find funding before I actively look into a specific program. I want to start in the spring 2015. What avenues are available to me?

Tomika,

you should fill out the FAFSA again to see what you qualify for from the federal programs. Also sit down with the FinAids office of the college you would like to attend to see what's available for you from them. Apply to scholarships you have the qualifications to win. You may qualify for need based grants from the college. Read more on <a href="http://www.studentloansnocosigner.us/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">no cosigner student loans</a>.

Janette,

if your student loans are federal student loans, then I would surly contact them (federal government) about student loan forgiveness. Read more at:

Hello, my name is Janette Morgan, Im retired probation officer who is still paying student loans after 21 yrs. I borrowed $26,900 from the government to go back to school and loved my job and college degree. However, it has become a burden on me to continue paying these loans back. After 21 yrs, I still owe over $65,000 on my school loans. A while back the legislature passed a law to forgive the school loans if working in a public sector; however, it was for different kind of federal loans that I do not have. I have worked over 720 hrs of community service before my I started working as a probation officer. I have applied for disability due to my eyesight. I was born with lazy eye; had surgery when I was 4 or 5; however, did not help. My eyesight continues to detoritate. I will be 58 yrs old tomorrow. ANY help would be appreciated soooooo much!!!
